SAN DIEGO — September 23, 2009 — Preiss Imports, San Diego’s leading importer of ultra premium beer and spirits, is celebrating its involvement with Emmy Award nominated Showtime® series, WEEDS.

WEEDS was nominated for a record six 2009 EMMY Awards, including Mary-Louise Parker for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series; Elizabeth Perkins for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series; Amy McIntyre Britt and Anya Colloff for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series; David Helfand and William Turro, who earned individual nominations in the Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series category for two separate episodes; and Best Sound Mixing for a half hour show.

Henry Preiss, president and CEO of Preiss Imports, said that a number of brands and brand posters were featured in WEEDS episodes and served at the Season 5 Series Wrap Party on July 17 in Hollywood. Henry and Suzie Preiss were on hand at the Wrap Party and served the classic Aviation cocktail (mixed with Old Raj Gin, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Pages Grape Sugar Syrup and Pages Parfait Amour Violet Liqueur), Chinaco Negro Tequila which also appeared in a scene on the show, and Mark Burley, Co-Executive Producer enjoyed a BrewDog Dogma Ale along with the other guests.

Preiss said that the WEEDS producers also a used a Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur poster in a scene with Elizabeth Perkins, who was nominated for the EMMY award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Another Press Imports luxury brand, BenRiach Single Malt Scotch Whisky poster appeared in a scene with Mary- Louise Parker, who was nominated for Outstanding Actress on a Comedy Series.
