Cartridge World Comes to Downtown San Diego with December 8 Grand Opening

SAN DIEGO — December 6, 2010 — Cartridge World, the largest and fastest growing chain of ink and toner replacement retailers, will hold its official grand opening on Wednesday, December 8 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at it’s new downtown San Diego location at 240 Broadway. The grand opening celebration will be hosted by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce with a 4:00 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony. In addition, the celebration will include drinks and snacks, door prizes, a drawing to win a Brother HL-2140 laser printer, along with refill specials for $3 off ink cartridges and $10 off toner cartridges.

The new store, locally owned and operated by James Kim, recycles, refills and remanufactures empty ink and laser cartridges used in desktop and office printers, all-in-one machines, fax machines and photocopiers. It offers businesses and consumers a substantial savings (up to 30 percent off) to buying new, and provides a 90-day, 100 percent customer satisfaction on every print cartridge, with the added green advantage of keeping spent cartridges out of the landfills.

“Cartridge World Downtown San Diego carries ink for all major cartridge brands in stock so there is no need to wait. We don’t simply ‘drill & fill’ like other refillers,” said Kim. “We inspect and test each empty cartridge, completely flush and clean to remove all the old and dried ink, then we fill our cartridges in a vacuum with ink that is specific for each cartridge. Our inks are formulated to match the originals required for each brand name cartridge and we thoroughly print test each cartridge to ensure the best performance possible.”

In addition, Cartridge World also offers free pick up & delivery to businesses in downtown San Diego, and can deliver cartridges to its customers within minutes in case of a printing emergency. Cartridge World Downtown San Diego can also establish ongoing service arrangements with businesses to ensure that they never run out of ink.

“Downtown San Diego businesses should not pay more to print, and while they are saving money, they are also helping to preserve the environment by reducing the number of cartridges being discarded into our landfills,” Kim said. “For example, laser printer cartridges, which account for more than 90 percent of the throwaway cartridges deposited in landfills, can take up to 450 years to decompose.”
With more than 650 stores open in the US, and more than 1,700 locations worldwide, Cartridge World is helping to expand the segment of refilling and remanufacturing ink and toner cartridges for businesses, small office/home office and household consumers users alike.
