Pearson Fuels Installs First E85 Ethanol Tanks in Pomona, San Jose

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – May 26, 2009 – Pearson Fuels has installed its 10th and 11th underground E85 Ethanol tanks at the Chevron Stations at 100 West Foothill Blvd. in Pomona CA and at 680 Commercial Street in San Jose, CA. The Pomona E-85 station will be the first in the Inland Empire when it opens this summer, and only the second public Ethanol station in Los Angeles County. The new station will also be the first in San Jose. Pearson Fuels built the first E85 fuel station in California seven years ago and continues its expansion statewide.

Under the terms of a recent agreement with AE Biofuels, Inc., (OTCBB: AEBF), a global vertically integrated biofuels company, Pearson Fuels will distribute cellulosic ethanol through its renewable fuels filling stations in California. Under the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, 100 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol use is mandated in 2010, increasing to 1 billion gallons per year by 2013.

“We were excited to be the ones who set the first Ethanol tank on the entire West Coast seven years ago and we are very happy to confirm that even during these difficult times, we have been able to continue installing these alternative fuel stations”, said Mike Lewis, owner and general manager of Pearson Fuels. “When the price of gasoline is high, alternative fuels are on everyone’s lips, but it is in times like these that you need to build the infrastructure. Thanks to support from the California Air Resources Board and others, we have been able to do just that.”

About Pearson Fuels
Pearson Fuels specializes in bringing alternative fuels to the public. With their first project in San Diego, Pearson built a fuel station offering 10 vehicle fuels. It included the first Ethanol station for the state of California and the first Biodiesel, dual pressure natural gas, and propane station in San Diego County. In 2007, Pearson’s cutting edge approach to alternative fuels enabled them to make an unprecedented agreement with the California Air Resources Board to develop Ethanol (E-85) fueling infrastructure throughout the state. Pearson currently has locations in San Diego, Sacramento, Hayward, Concord and Salton City with more under construction in San Jose, Pomona, and Beaumont.
